That's what happens when a bunch of bittervets ask to join a newb village expecting it to be simultaneously some bastion of freedom, paramilitary organization, and subservient to their egos all at once. I apologize for your poor experience Nytro - I hope you find a home that makes your time in Haven better.

For what it's worth, us W8 New Brodgarians have moved on, and you are certainly welcome to come settle.

These "bittervets" expected a more competent leader who knows wtf he's doing. Instead we got a hyper paranoid leader who inflicted fear of Ainran in villagers minds. There wasn't one player in that village that you didn't suspect of being Ainran. IIRC, you were suspicious of your own militia members being a spie (including me).

The fact that multiple ex members of Brodgar is finally coming out to expose you for your incompetence as a leader reflects a lot on whether or not these stories are true.

Even though I dislike Robben quite intensely, I'm gonna be the neutral party here and say that despite everything he's the only one attempting a minimally interesting community project this world.

I support this statement.

While I don't agree with Robben's playstyle or even his choice of how shit gets done. He does try to organize the biggest fucking online trailer park I have ever participated in.

I like Robben. As a person, but as a LS I kind of got disgruntled with him way back in the day. Hence the reason I have to this day never joined NB again.

He has always treated me and those I know with respect and while active, led to the best of his abilities. He has his own way of doing shit, and if you don't like it, sometimes the best response is to pack the fuck up and ship the fuck out.

NB is what it is. No frills and no promises, certainly no compromises.

He put it to me quite simply once. "It's supposed to be chaos."

Good luck to all the New Brodgarians out there. Get your game mechanics down. Learn and grow. Shape up and ship out to new frontiers and horizons.

It's probably the best way to learn that every action you take in this game can and most likely will lead to a very untimely death.

And to Robben, keep striving. The goal may be/seem impossible, but it doesn't mean that you should ever, ever give up.
