To clarify my stance, I am not arguing for or against a revival of the character. Characters are transient assets at best.
I am merely pointing out that precedence based laws are hugely unhelpful when the precedence are as muddled as W1-9 are. Especially considering everyone seems to include the long stretches of time of W6-7 where the devs were unable to arbitrate simply because they did not have the time, as precedence. (Seeing how they were finishing up SALEM/Hafen2.0)

Also while I do not argue for reviving Bob the Barbarian. As it stands now, all of his account/stead assets are effectively frozen because someone figured out that you can ignore a intended mechanic by humping a horse and a ropewalk while on a friendly vclaim at the same time*, which is ridiculous. - I would however like to suggest the devs merely smash the hijacked gates. This would not violate the No-Ressurection rule and still undo a major amount of the damage. But that is just my own humble opinion. I simply think the situation sucks that Bob died to 'secret murder' rather than yannow, a arrow to the knee or a 1v1.

I dont really get this part. But if you mean that Bob should have died as a warrior I agree. This is why i hate bug or mechanic abusers. Laws arent stones anyway, so if you are suggesting finding a rational way to use one or another meaning or possible meaning of a law, i agree with you. Anyway, Devs are the law and they can do whatever they want.

I do agree however than you and Nooby and other people are right when they say that Bob has died against cowards and people who have probably demonstrated that they arent capable of beat him in a fair and leggit fight. Whoever did this is a first grade pussy and I hope they get rekt for it.

Now devs should say, after showing the perpetrators, that bugabusing and mechanic abusing should be legal against them. If its the same case, of course. And my opinion is that, in a major or lesser grade, its something quite similar. Lets see what happens.

There is no such thing as black and white. You can't just categorise everything into nice neat little packages. The whole of reality consists of those two colours blended into grey.

For as long as there have been laws there has always been someone to preside over their function and judge each case on its own unique circumstances and characteristics. This was a major reason why such things as kings came into being, and why civilisations with the wisest rulers prospered while others failed.

I can't agree that there exists some method by which consequences should or should not be meted out in always the same way. Sometimes exceptional cases do occur.

I'm not saying this is one of them, to be honest this thread lacks a lot of detail and doesn't have much content. Really I just wanted to rage about lawfulness.

I hope Dole has the nuts to suck it up and persevere, he contributes a lot of colour to a fairly flat forum (good or bad) and I think if anyone has the capability to climb back up the shitheap without dev intervention he is one such person for sure.
