Visitor wasn't that relevant.

You wouldn't have been able to get mats in otherwise, as our outer gates would have been up. Also, palisading in the charterstone and leaving the gate down wouldn't have prevented this, as you could spawn through opened gates before they patched it.

The visitor debuff was quite relevant.

You know what to do overtyped.

I do not think the cost of time and money for a lawsuit is worth spending over a character. Either results, that will cut deeply into the developers' time to develop as well. Also wasn't Ainran nuked along with that spire?

They got nuked but it's still not enough lol...

Yeah... they got nuked... pretty close to what happened to core last world...

btw, if you don't remember what core village looked like after the nuke:

No radioactive fallout. 1/10

They didn't get any characters deleted either. Comparing what core got to what ainran got, is like comparing a black eye to a bullet in your skull.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Are Ainran's character decently stats? I am kind of curious how they will fuel it since their overall economy is below average compare to most other factions (assuming they have the same core members)

Jesterz wrote:Core got nuked and characters deleted in a world for bug raiding someone with a wall jump when the game was pay to play 100%.

Ainran got nuked in a world for bug raiding someone through an open gate when the game is 0% free to play.

Odditown was declared open season for raidined someone using some sketchy visitor debuff work around from lack of security.

Sure many people subscribe. But that is more or less a donation with a perk on the end.

Punishment
  • The village of Core has been expropriated in its entirety on account of having been used in a criminal conspiracy. It has been selectively nuked and hereby thrown to the dogs.
  • All characters belonging to the aforementioned offending accounts (Jimbable, APXEOLOG, Headshot, Badich, Madsmax, mrHally) have been deleted.

Restitutions
  • All accounts belonging to Scoia'Tael and Church of the Tar Kiln have been given one month of free subscription time.
  • Headshot has been given a dev cape for reporting and detailing the bug.

Reasoning
  • Serious bugs should be reported, not quietly exploited.
  • Associating with criminals can be a bad idea. Do not tolerate bugabose among your friends and fellow villagers.

Not true. We...

  • Did not deactivate their accounts.
  • Let everyone else in Core keep their characters.

There was mercy, but this is also us making an example out of this lot.

With this mercy dont expect much bugs will be reported. Jorb, was it compensation for yours same mistakes in third game in row? ¦]

The bug may have been similar to old ones, but it was not the same.

Had they reported the bug and not used it there would have been no punishment, obviously.

Quoted posts would have more meaning if you would explain it in your words as well.

Let's see if I can explain so...

Last world we had a group abusing a bug to raid other people by working arround the securities implemented on the game, as they found a hole on those security. There were a punishment for that group, and the dev responsible for that punishment stated that this should serve as an example for future bug abusers. He also stated that this kind of bugs should be REPORTED, not abused.

On this world, we had 2 scenarios of people exploiting bugs found on security systems implemented on the game and using those to actually do the SAME thing (raid other people). Different from past world, neither anyone from the first group or the second group directly reported those bugs to the devs. They just abused it, and in the second case, the group even made sure they weren't using their main accounts when abusing it. So, in this case, they screwed people and also haven't helped the devs as the first group from last world did (as a member of core reported the bug after exploiting it). But, on both cases on this new world, the actions taken seems a LOT less harsh as the actions taken on the previous world (turning the entire village area in a mountain path impossible to terraform after destroing basically every construction that was there AND deleting every character on every account used to exploit the bug vs creating a giant dildo in the midle of the village and destroing some palisades and just letting anyone bug abuse against the initial abusers).
So, if the last world case was to be used as an example, and that didn't happen, this opens a gate to bug abusers actually exploit the game WITHOUT reporting and without any harsh consequences, because they now know divine justice only depends on the dev mod. Also, not taking the same very action that the dev took last world just breaks his word when he said "Serious bugs should be reported, not quietly exploited.", as now he can be sure people will just exploit those bugs, reporting or not...
