how about just do nothing. just seriously do not get involved and only give bonus to people who report bug?

if bug is abused, fix it. no punishment no compensation. people need to realise its a alpha game.

we dont go on CS:GO and get aimbotted then phone up the company who made CS:GO and ask for compensation. J&L Might as well never get involved then people know where they stand.
TRAITORS WILL BE SHOT.

Comparing H&H to CS:GO is really, just plain stupid there isn't any other way to say that. The fact that this game is an alpha and bug exploitation shouldn't have punishments is also completely irrelevant, H&H has been in "Alpha" for years now, its a title that holds absolutely no meaning, or real distinction to those who spend their time on this game. Your idea of only giving people bonuses for bug exploits is also just laughable for what should be some fairly obvious reasons. What if I bug raided you right now, and stole, or wiped all of your stuff, your characters dead, claims a complete ruin, and I were to be rewarded for my unfair measures? If you say you wouldn't mind I'd go as far as to say you're either lying or a person like you would be such a minority that the rest of the games population would certainly not agree with you.

H&H is unlike any other game out there on the market, except maybe Wurm could be compared, only conceptually. There is a reason bug exploitation has been punished since the game came out, and it should stay that way, if not over the years become even harsher as those who do these things obviously understand what they're doing isn't legitimate.

Actually, haven is an "eternal alpha", so it can't really be considered a TRUE alpha. Alpha tests get on in EARLY DEVLOPMENT, and normally go into beta in not more than a year! Also, if this is an alpha, why we'r not getting ultra fast LP gains and stat gains so we can test everything? DOn't an ALPHA TEST is meant to TEST THINGS? Nah, we'r actually playing the game, more like on a open beta of some sort.
And no, you'll not cal valve if you get aim botted on cs:go and ask for a "restitution", but most probably, if you get an aimbot on one of your games on cs:go, you'll most probably report him for cheating, and probably he'll get punished for it! And yes, in almost any online game you can report other players for bug abusing, exploiting game mechanics and cheating on some sort and the company will always revise the case and, if you'r correct, punish the exploiter/cheater!

The game is 'eternal alpha' in the meaning that there will never be a feature freeze (which in software development marks the transition to beta) so new stuff always can and will be added. This has nothing to do with the quality of the code (which is impressive, given how stable the server is).

This!, I have looked. cuz yeah While I luv the game, I don't always agree with the Dev's, but dammit, there is no other game remotely close. Kudo's, Pras, whateve's to Jorb And Loftar, on this AND for their continuing development over the years EVEN when NOT being paid for adding to the game they still found some time to make their presence known, and now that this seems to be their main focus. Well lets just say I look forward to continuing to see where the world goes.

You are right, it isn't like any other game, thats why I can't quit fully, but i'm now a casual that plays 20 minutes a day. I don't even have a base anymore. I won't be subbing tho, because i'll just be bug raided again and be reset to nothing, and I don't want to support a system of not punishing bug raiders.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I'd say yes and no. You'r right if you compare haven with any game developed by big companies with huge crews. And I never understood how small companies or small crews, or even solo game makers can actually make a lot more content and give updates a lot more constantly then big companies.
But if you compare haven with indie games that have small crews, and are actually fowarded to giving the game a name, haven is not that much different! Or even small private servers of some known games! Like a UO shard I used to play, where they DON'T have a shop, a sub model or anything. All they accept as money are PURE donations, and they make it clear that you'r NOT implied to donate, nor you'll receive ANYTHING for donating besides the server online 24/7 and new content being added constantly. And believe me, I got to meet the admins of this server, they really give their life for the server. It's one of the major uo private shards in existance, with a medium rate of 500-600 players online all the time, and peaks that reach 800 players, and they'r CONSTANTLY adding new content.

WHat I think that happens is: small groups making a game are more focused in making a REALLY good game for the community, something that THEY would love to play (this is what I see happening on haven). Big companies just want money, and are giving a shit to the customeers!

And about putting your blood to the game, on my country, 12 years ago, some guys made an mmorpg from nothing, when "inde games" were not a thing, and making games like an mmorpg were not for everyone. One guy of this crew even sold his own apartment to invest in the game production, and went to live in a rented one! The game became so loved by its small community, that, even after the companie break, the community managed to BUY the game rights and code, and keep it alive, just for the sake of PLAYING it!
