I did some rudimentray calculations. If you can maintain average of 2k LP/hour, which is quite reasonable, the bonus LP from subscription will, in a month, exceed the LP value of a troll skull.

Arguably, if you're filthy rich, you can just buy subscription directly from devs (50 dollars for 12 month Bronze subscription compared to 75 dollars for 12 sub tokens bulk) and buy some tokens to buy troll skulls for fat LP.

Clarification: depending on how you value LP, if you have enough tokens/subscription it's feasible to buy troll skull with token. Of course the troll skull should always be studied in a way that ensures you have active subscription when it completes.

Without tokens real-money trades will start prospering, like in legacy. Devs will get twice less income and won't be able to develop the game that much. If they'll add compulsory subs, half of the people will stop playing. Without the other half, people who sub won't play either.
