also ez fix, make it so you can bash open gates without entering the gate tile, and maybe make it so you dont get visitor if you enter a gate that isnt connected to actual walls

Exactly, easy to fix - just make it so that you can bash it from outside.
As for the second thing, dunno if it would be a good idea as there's a lot of cases where "wall-less" gates are already in use around the world. Many people's securities on houses with mineholes or caves and stuff like that depends on gates without walls and changing that on a sudden update wouldn't be fair, I guess :P

Perhaps a better solution, at least for the "combat" use of those gates, would be to make it so that they have a "drying" time of sorts - so freshly built gates only apply visitor after one hour or something like that.
That way they can't be quickly built during combat and if the gate is already there, it is the responsibility of the fighters to not go through it :P

Yeah, needs to be fixed, which is why we reported it. I like the first solution, but the second would wreck some existing infrastructures (such as Aurora market :p ) Should be noted this same bug happens with palisade gates.

well usually the gates like this are attached to cps still

idk ive never seen any gates not connected to anything but i think you could just walk out the corners and avoid visitor if it were something like a minehole
