so fights do "take a lot longer" now but they used to be "endless chasing bullcrap" in legacy

I'm not even sure what your point is here. I actually like this world fighting system a lot, fights should take longer than 2 minutes, watching long videos of people exchanging blows and using tactics is far more interesting than 30 minutes of people running at matching speeds followed by a 1 shot.

You can't escape if you don't have any back up close by. If you would actually know the combat works you would realise that.

Well thats pretty much what I meant, unless you are miles from base and have no road systems I think it should be possible to delay at least long enough to call reinforcements and boats are still the same as ever. Usually people travelling away from home are either on boat or horse. I dont believe that escaping should be standard for finding yourself in situation like this, that makes no sense, finding people outside their walls is impossible enough as it is. If you get caught with your pants down and no safety measures then you should die, like I did in W7 assuming that ever actually happened.

Why did you bring instant KO movement stings in here, it was not relevant here. There wasn't such a thing in world 7 and that is where ganking was most balanced and combat most fun.

You need to make up your mind of what youre talking about. If its about the guy in the video, I was criticizing him for getting off boat, usually you would only do that if you had some sort of plan or destination but he didn't, he just sailed randomly and disembarked at a stupid location allowing the rest of boats to catch up down the river and he didnt block his boat slots either.
