@ Jordan coles, not seeing a solution to coin stacking before a fight ? Make it so you can't use these defense moves at a distance.

The tactic will still be viable to some extent but much harder to do in a fight involving more then a handful of people.

Also if it's not the case already make it so defense moves have priority over attack moves when used at the same time (2 people que a move on eachother from a distance)

I dont like having to be in melee either, what happens if ur being chased by 2 people and 1 is further back than the other, but they are ur current target. do you really think your character should have to double back and tag that guy just to reduce your defence? or while running are you expected to change targets just so you can trigger a defence. I think its a bad idea.

Here are 2 suggestions instead:

Create a maximum number of coins you can stack against an opponent: 25 for example.

Make "excess" IP rapidly decay on secondary targets, with excess defined as >3 or something. So you could make IP decay at a rate of 1 IP every 2 seconds when they are not your primary target. decay would stop once they reach 3 IP and they could have that forever until combat is ended with that target. i chose 3 IP so they could do 1 artful evasion then would have to stack more coins again. and obviously u can have 25 coins against ur primary target without any decay.

Plz no melee defenses, i would never be
able to kill anyone ever again =c

Better possible solutions would be to make
it so the spar instantly ends when you enter
real combat. Their work around would be
to aggro them instead and stack coins that
way. The work around for their work around
would be to have some sort of consequence
for aggro'ing / being aggroe'd for extensive
amounts of time. Be that you move slower
or whatever, or you must do X action on your
opponent every X minutes or else aggro is
lost or something. Something to discourage
aggro'ing your allies y'know?
