World 9 realms

I forgot to publish this at the end of the last world, but I figure late is perhaps better than never, so here's a movie over the development of the realms of world 9.

It doesn't start from the beginning, since I didn't write this tool until quite some time afterwards. The color mapping scheme and stuff is far from optimal, but this is the data I've got saved, so it is what it is.

Neat how kingdom systems in game progress the way that actual country progresses in claim land throughout history.

Are there any plans to add a way for players to map out realms in game? With multiple people expanding the same realm, it gets quite confusing and time consuming trying to figure out which areas have already been covered
(once and futue king btw)

What format in the earth is that video saved in?

When you skip around it looks very weird.

This is interesting. I've always wished we could have more glimpses at behind-the-scenes metrics and tech. Stuff like heatmaps of player action density, deaths, what percentage of the player base has visited each cave layer, etc.; though I suppose a lot of these aren't even tracked currently.

Indeed. :)

Hm, it does. No real idea why, it's just a WebM. It does use transparency, so maybe that's related to why.

I liked the part where you can see the moment of AD realm getting nuked most.
