I think you all missed the point of my post. If the game performance improves enough to get more than 20 people on the combat field at once, more people will be interested in joining the combat, thus more people will show up, thus lagging the game back out again. So you're implying the cilent is fine as it is?

No. I want to see 1000 vs 1000 at some point in this game. :D

That actually sounds like a fun game via board movement and sparing with different weapons. Like a class basef boardgame.

Please no Chess-Haven. Chess is a game for smart people and since everyone in this game is a fucking genius with 250+ IQ, combat would be too balanced. Need something to exploit and post on forums.

I dont like that idea.
This is a game where people die by mechanics instead of by a fight. You can autokill someone who crosses a fencegate in a claim and its ok but when someone has finally a good and real idea closer to reality than a gatekill you ask to remove it.
Dressing peasants as soldiers to divide enemy forces or lure them must be an option because its strategy.
If there is performance problems in big fights devs must solve it by working on the code not by erasing chances of something that makes sense and deepness to the combat.
