What we do need now are more balanced low level foods, that way newbies don't get stuck with constitution and intelligence gains <.<

It would be better served as a control stat for archery, if archery was ever to be fixed so it was worth using. Linking quality detection to your eyeballs is sort of pushing it.

You want to kick trading in the already weak legs? The economy was terrible before the map restart, regional mines and QL has given it a slight boost now the traveling system and then this will fuck it right back to where it started.

Possible bug: Seems I'm able to tell the exact quality of water despite it being over twice my perception.

Disagree, it's also an issue for absent minded medium level characters

Delamore wrote:Trade is currently suffering

Disagree, from what I've observed the market place is ROARING.

Delamore wrote:the biggest thing in trade has been lowbies trading bulk with higher ups for good QL stuff.

Disagree I've seen a majority of trades being from people looking for things they don't have, ie: metal, different FEP foods, etc.

EDIT: this is just some stuff I disagree with, On the whole I agree with Del that not allowing noobs to judge quality seems to add little beyond a bit of mistrust in trades.

You know if you have to pick a stat for this shouldn't it be intelligence? The smart people, who eat a lot of fish, should know how good an item is no?

One for Loftar, is this implemented as a server feature or a client feature? If it's on the server (which I'm assuming it is) can he consider putting it on the client? Cause then modders like myself can play with it, decide which things to craft multiple times etc.

Limiting quality info will probably be rather debilitating to the newer players. Like Delamore said, it will probably harm trade. Honestly, none of this stuff was stuff I was hoping for.

Maybe if quality detection was three or four times your perception level it would be more acceptable.
