The minimaps not being there seemed to clear the lag up alot though, should just leave um off =s

I don't normally make requests like this on any game, but I have to heartily agree.

No way. Taking the minimaps away makes it harder to detect people coming up, or see foragables.

“Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when it's morning again, they'll wash away
Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.”

You're wrong. Everything foragable / player points still display on the map, because it's customclient feat omg.
really loftar, you shouldtake a look into the minimap issue, as it was the most playable morning in the history of hearthlands after os upgrade. ;d
Although I don't fear dying, I still would rather not.

I don't think so, though. I had considered the same thing, so I tried turning them off for a while a few days ago, but at that time it did not seem to clear up any lag.

Edit: If anything, I might actually imagine that the disk being down and therefore turning off RAID might have made the I/O situation better in itself. I have been suspecting the swraid to be partly responsible for some time.

No, the game data itself is quite safe. It's merely the minimaps that might be lost.

That is rather unfortunate.

To everybody complaining about the lag: Grow a f**king spine already! I started playing the game at the end of world 2 and the game was much more laggy than it is now. You could see a deer going past the whole minimap without hitting anything. Also, downtimes were common, sometimes up to three hours a day and we still played and enjoyed the game. That's because unlike you guys, we weren't pussies. Notice no veteran players complaining about this.

Or we were, like, masochists or something. :D

I'm actually pretty cool with the lag, I have dial-up so I'm stronk and used to it. I just don't like how all the rivers are empty because no one's logging on until the lag is gone.

I just woke up and I've played for like 30min, and I havent noticed it lagging or freezing at all! (If its just not because Iam so used to it now)

How did you do that since the server has been shut down for the last hour or so?

it's this issue of people mistaking convenience for laziness or "casual" gameplay, . . . there is no reason why not to have sacks . . .
