This fuckin game.

(edit: sincere thanks for efforts, Loftar. also; the above gripe is a testament to the addictiveness of your creation, take it as a compliment)

That's convenient, right when I'll be about to play again. Thank you loftar for the all-nighter. It never rains but pours, huh?

Certainly seems so. I'm a bit curious if the other disk starting failing simultaneously by pure coincidence, or if the first disk crashing somehow made the second disk start failing as well. I've gotten the feeling that the S-ATA host controller in the server isn't of the best possible make there is.

Wouldn't it take a lot longer than 12 hours to basically rewrite all account files?

Why, no. I expect that part of the process to take another 2-3 hours. Most of the time will be consumed by the other hard drive replacement and accompanying RAID resync.

What can we expect as a result of this? Less lag, more optimized/creative updates in the future? If this will take 12 hours and your server guys are doing most of the work (I assume), maybe use this time to extrapolate on what this all means.

You may try reading to OP. ;)

The only "server guys" that "we" have is me. The only thing Hetzner (the hosting company) is doing is replacing the physical hard drive. Most of the time is being taken by the server itself transferring data between the disks.
