This is not fucking Splinter Cell ...

the next one who wants to exclude ppl with weak eyes - great ... if YOU don't want to use it just don't use it and carry torch or candle ... (there are people that strictly don't use nightvision like there are people that strictly don't use bots - isn't it good you can choose?)

If there would be no way to adjust it i would be out and i know some older long time players that would stop playing too

just to make it clearer: if i want to look at details of haven2 images in the first posts of "Keeping you Posted" threads i need to copy the image, paste it in my viewer and change the gamma (sadly it doesn't work ingame - for me it's like looking through milkyglass)

I have to agree with Borka. My vision is not so great anymore and working at night is not desirable. Don't get me wrong it is a nice novelty to include it but it would all but eliminate me from the game as I would have to be lucky enough to log in when it was day.

Keep night for those who want it. Nothing wrong with that. But Having an option to not work in in mood environments is nice.

How did you find the lighting in the mine, in #1?

That's fine without even changing gamma - good atmosphere :D (i just need to move a bit closer to the monitor )

But it's also more zoomed in as #0 ;)

I would prefer a bit brighter but it is good mood lighting as Borka said.

Darkness and lighting tools as a gameplay mechanic should still be explored, maybe not just as "cant see my screen, need to turn gamma up"

You're quite correct, it needs to be implemented in a way that says "It's dark there, no amount of turning up your gamma is gonna put pixels where there aren't any"
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

I still wonder what's your reason to force "Pitch Black" for everyone ...

Instead of focusing on trying to fix a redundant line of sight problem it would be more productive trying to focus on adding more interesting game content. Why blind everyone with a night filter when custom clients will for sure remove said filter. I would take anything other then a line of sight calculator just cause a few diehard realism fans wants it. Only if the server have advanced LoS calculations will we see it and it honestly sounds like a stupid mechanic that will for sure be easily abused down the line.
