I just plowed and harvested crops with less than 50% stamina. I think Jorb and Lof just hate you.

Haha, no reason why. :P
But it's possible.

Figure I had a fail moment and forgot that trying to hand-plow and realizing you're too tired halfway through still omnoms your stamina. So I tried harvesting right after that. I'm assuming it was at or below 30, then.

Seems to be working fine, now. I just freaked out for a sec because I didn't know changes were made, and didn't know what the new limits were.

Question:
Do players spawn only in the first supergrid (where the RoB is) or can a character spawn in any of the supergrids, including the potential to spawn near/in the corner?
The Dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. He doesn't really care about anything any more.

Yes, if a new player goes up the ladder they now spawn anywhere, with a high chance of being quite far out.

Surviving is not too difficult if the newbie player gets foraging to find chanterelles and hunting to get rabbits. Bears usually get about one hard hit point per time they attack you and you start with 30 so unless you put yourself into a really awkward situation you will survive. And if you are lucky enough to locate a grassland you could end up with both apple trees and wheat in short order.

loftar wrote:Well, the reason I fixed it was because you could handplow any number of tiles without caring about stamina, which was obviously just a bug. How about using an actual plow instead? I mean, that's what they're for...

With the new change, can we make hand-plowing now cost less than 30% stamina a tile? Like maybe make it the same drain as paving or maybe just 5%?

'cause at the moment, plowing those 7 or 8 single tiles in the middle of all those other tiles is a pain. It's especially fun if the tile to be plowed is surrounded by paving and thus impossible to machine plow.

loftar wrote:By the way, it should be 30%, not 50%.

Which begs an interesting question... How come I'm too tired to do something when I've still got 30% of my Stamina left? Shouldn't the being 'too tired' to do anything happen at 0%? Isn't that what 0% is supposed to be?

All the system currently does is make that Stamina below 30% useless and 30% becomes "the new zero". Any reason why we only get to use 70% of our Stamina?

you know of course that it is because of movement speed - when the game says 'zero stamina' it means it, you dont even have the energy left to crawl

Farming with 0 stamina was a bitch you moved at a crawl and it took forever but at least you did not have to clean the food mansion to be able to come up with LESS hunger bar than your farming will provide or be permanently attached to a fruit tree. Instead of working on the broken combat system you find time to see how unrealistic plowing is and screw the little guy just a little bit more. You make up all these numbers and implement all these ideas you have but you never actually consider their implications.

Yes, as I just discovered. Be nice if I fell over unconscious for a bit to serve me right, while my stamina came back.
