There is no denying it, I am a shit poster a lot of the time. I can admit it just like I can admit when I am wrong about something, it's unfortunate you cannot.

Clients with better bot support and bots that automate combat, both movement and standing. Clients designed to rotate accounts for you to automatically cycle through alts to make sure everyone has access to crafters/fighters/foragers/farmers at any given time (though I hear that ended up backfiring). Mind you I'm not 100% in the loop so I can't name everything. Someone probably has dirty secrets out there. =)

The issue of bots would partialy be solved by solving alts, combat automation has minimal use in actual combat, the existance of cooldowns makes computer speed reactions to moves hardly useful.
I cannot consider advantages built upon a completely seperate problem as a relevant point. A real advantage would be the ability to see important information, which someone else can't, name me that and you'll convince me, albeit this can just be fixed by closely watching what data is sent from the server.

Haven forum warriors think that there point of view is the most relevant topic loftar should focus on. There childish blind linear thinking have made them the worst trolls this forum have seen. There favorite haven pass time isn't to login and actually play the game, its to sit on this forum argue about some the flavor of the month dilemma this game faces, this world being bots.

Matter of fact is, anyone actually playing gives zero fucks about bots. There concern isn't to get rid of the bots cause it doesn't stop them or anyone else from actually playing. Somehow the warriors have gotten this idea that its the bots that prevent them from logging in to play and if they were to somehow become extinct this game would rollback to the glory a bot-free haven where there fondest memorys of this game would all come back to them.

All you get about arguments regarding bots / alting and stupid arguments that goes in circles is, no hearth secret spawning and fucked up mechanics to prevent game abuse. But of course if you give a kid a smaller scoop he will cry out to mommy he got the smaller share. Regardless if the outcome is worse for himself and everyone around him, as long as he doesn't get the smaller share.

There is yet one intelligent anti-bot argument made by a single non-botter on this forum and every time it comes up it ends up the same way. Going in circles till a broken hot-fix is put in place to shut the idiots up. Of course the same people arguing against said mechanics give zero fuck about the changes as they never login to recognize the relevant messed up outcomes.

Here's the catch though, how the hell should I know if there has been a compromise of that severity? I don't fuck with the client modders which should be fairly evident by my stance on this, so I'm not really sure what answer you'd expect to that question. Any information I have beyond the basic clients offered here on the forum is usually second hand, but normally the source is always reliable.

Don't worry Xcom I believe I've argued with you enough, I'll let your lame post slide this time.

People need to discuss something, hardly a mature reaction to call out people for discussing what they themselves see as problems. I've always heard and personaly believe the same argument : botting/alts ruin the competition for people who don't do it. Some people get a kick out of just playing the game and slowly advancing. Others by becoming more wealthy, statisticaly superior. If you want to keep up with the competition to satisfy this urge, you need to use the most meta means, in this case - alts/bots, which are a HASSLE to use. It's annoying and boring, but if you want to be competitive - you are forced to it. Basicaly a meta game that is not enjoyable is the issue. Obviously you've heard this argument many times and I don't see why you reject it. Maybe it's your personal bias as an over-achiever, but then again I'm completely the same in that department and have played with many people who are not and noticed this affecting me and them in a negative way on an equal level.

A very valid point. Modders generaly don't see automation on the same level as general consumers. To them a bot-based meta is a positive one, since that gives their work more reason.
