I'd rather have a little of the run ruined if it means that we can be better at finding spots for new homes.

its still gonna be shit.
quality is infinite. it seems logical to me atleast, that if 10 is standard quality, and there are no quality limits, then a quality of 25 is still pretty crap.
id imagine finding soil of quality 1000 is gonna be very very rare, and even though there are technically no limits to the amount of quality i suspect that we wont be finding 100,000 quality soil.

There has to be some kind of marginally decreasing return on investment. If you make a sword that is as sharp as a razor, and one that is ten times sharper, the second blade won't necessarily be ten times better at killing people. At some point, it has to be more effective to make two swords rather than one good one.

This goes double for raw resources. Once you've got all the basic nutrients and minerals in the dirt, in the right quantities, you can't really make it better.

Anyway, I like the new idea about digging for clay in water. We'll definitely see a lot of lake communities, I think, which is pretty natural.
Surprise.

I would like to direct interested people to this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1798&p=20931#p20931

Goal: A city a short walk north of RoB called 'Brodgar'

Purpose: Stable democratically run city which serves as first stop for newbies, and potentially center of world trade and commerce.

Work starts as soon as the new world is up. Come see me/pm me if you are interested!

Even if you plan on moving out into the woods, maybe you can spare a hand for a few days? We would be happy to pay back the favor in the future!

That's the only reason I can see why it was taken down.
