Therein is the difference. I played EVE over 3 years (and would likely still be playing it if I could) and the assholes were piled higher and deeper there than they ever have been here. The forums were much more fun, though, as people aren't allowed to just call each other faggot and shit-stains. You have to be more creative with your words and show a modicum of intelligence. And is there really any difference between the two? The choice of one word vs a compound word, both of which should be bannable in my opinion. Treat players like players, not like enemy combatants. The choice of one word in this context matters a lot, it changes the whole meaning my words had.
Making "faggot" or "shit-stain" bannable wont really stop the problem because its the person who chooses to put those words in his message. You cant ban thoughts. And secondly this is a game forum not some super serious real life problems discussion.
