Only if we get proper security measures to counter it. Locks & traps...

How pray tell do you "lock" a wall? Traps? Maybe but to me the main detriment/counter would be the possibility of falling and breaking something/taking damage if you fail the wall climb. You could even have rope/grapnel hooks of various quals with obvious higher fall chances with lower quality equipment. Also, maybe allow archers a 20-50% bonus to aiming at anyone climbing or depending a wall?

Oh pain not the wall  If you have the ability to climb over them I want lockable doors and such.

it's called pay2win ... ;)

I think it's fairly obvious that Jackard was sarcastic.

Even so though, even better, just use your local IPv6 subnet and use a million different addresses for free.

If you can climb the wall without risk of getting killed by a trap and having ur stuff land in A box, then this game would be dead pretty fast. A nice wall would keep you pretty safe if the guy that wants to kill u can just climb it 10 times while ur logged out, and just go heal every time he fails...

Petition for wall types that can be walked upon and an action that can be used to counter rams other than spamming alts to repair walls. Something to damage rams within a few tiles of wherever you perform that action. (I'm picturing some version of boiling pitch over the side)
Something to spice up active sieges and hopefully make ranged weapons a bit more important.
(Besieged archers hopefully chase off enemy archers to buy time to drop the oil before enemy archers can shoot the defenders)

Climb it and then what? I highly doubt you'll be able to climbing whilst carrying a chest or bags so you'd be stuck with just with what you could carry, there are other ways to put cons to it, maybe only certain kinds of walls can be climbed, maybe they can only be climbed when someone oathed to the village is on, hell, I dunno. I'm not the Dev, I'm just throwing some ideas out there.... What about burrowing into towns? I've done it hundreds of times but no one has advocated removing mining and there are no cons to it. Hell, for the matter what about bashing? Both are ways of getting into town when no one is there. Presumably climbing would be a skill on par with bashing or other mechanics that requires lots of say, Dex or something to successfully do even once much less 10 times in a row.

There was/is? supposed to be a reworking/expansion of the siege system involving possibly other siege engines and counter siege shit like manned wall towers etc etc. As to whether those ideas have carryed over through the 3 or 4 years since I first heard about them only the Jorbtar knows...... We're talking Pre-Salem.
