I am uninterested in "civil argument with someone on the internet". I have a viewpoint and I do not care about yours. This is why the trite cliche about argument on the internet exists.

hfacktor wrote:We largely agree on many main points, and yet you seem to keep resorting to poorly typed personal insults as straw men instead of actually addressing the issue at hand.

Oh, I am experiencing the vapours! Prithee, do tell where the poor typistry is, lest you be exposed as a hypocrite!

hfacktor wrote:You literally said "I don't understand why people think that their opinion actually matters." in reference to those who share a different viewpoint than you, which I think is really close minded and naive.

Congratulations, evidence that you can think. By all means, feel free to express whatever opinion you have. However, I reiterate: "I don't understand why people think that their opinion actually matters."

hfacktor wrote:Just because someone doesn't feel the same as you or has only played the game for a couple weeks doesn't invalidate their opinion or ideas.

Yes. Yes, it does.

hfacktor wrote:My only problem with this really is how you handled the situation, which I've said before that I think it's a weak defense mechanism meant to invalidate the opinions of others instead of actually address the real issue.

It's sad that you're basically incapable of engaging in actual discussion on the issue though, as it seems we share a lot of the same viewpoints. I just don't appreciate the way you seem to handle things when someone brings up an opposing viewpoint.

What needs to be discussed? Noobs need to sit down, shut up, play the game more, and only start having opinions after they've actually experienced the game. I have no sympathy for people who whine and complain without actually trying.

And it's not only mine, but also water, clay and soil. Find all those stuff somehow close together... GL with that.

Nobody has those ressources close together. People had to put effort in it to connect all those spots. Before you tell me there are no spots left, same arguments apply as with mines, also I found a q103 soil spot not too long ago, 10 minute walk from 2 bigger settlements. Proving once again people rather complain than to actually go out and look for what they need.

Good u found a spot, in my village we found water spot and almost got killed next day. Great spot rly... Plz stop bullshitting here. If you find a spot that doesn't mean you can use it for free if you live in populated area. Living in unpopulated area is like: travel 1 hour in one way to reach your spot for soil, grap 2 chests and hearth back. Repeat process every week... Yeah good luck with that.

If that were your circumstance, and soil is your majour export, why are you not living right on top of the node in question? That is laziness, stupidity and self-inflicted misery.

Bullshit. That's when we called for a reset because you were exploiting (twice) and possessed otherwise impossible items secretly.

In before Jackards Razor.

The waters in this thread are really muddy.
Why not make sober posts in C&I with your suggested changes for improved gameplay?
The game obviously has problems, some more easily fixed than others, but the fact that there is a difference of living in a trade republic with a 1000-years of recorded history, and a desert backwater at the outskirts of civilization is not one of them.

Every square metre of land that today is civilized and populated, with highways and crossroads, were once wild blackforest.

I am not bullshitting. The spot I found has never been used before. If you find one, claim it. With a village idol. Invest into combat, read up on Dataslycers combat guide and trade for some metal to stand your ground if someone wants to have what is rightfully yours. Big factions won't care too much to take that q60 water spot from you so it will be defendable against smaller competitors. It is useful for you though to get to a point where you can compete for that q70 water spot. Let your people specialize, some warriors, some guys investing in skills to make use of the tech tree. Have your people know what they are doing, let them be effective and active.
I have given you examples of people who have made it despite being in basically the same situation as you are. I am pretty sure the Koreans will be the next faction proving every single one of your arguments wrong. Until then look up to AD, they had been levelled to the ground several times as they were living in different small settlements. They formed a Union, a Union of newbs, newbs at a level everyone can still achieve. At the time AD rose people were claiming there was not a single gold mine left. AD had no goldmine in the beginning, now they have more than any other faction.

It is not easy to get to the top, but it has not been easy for those who are on top now either. Maybe you won't fully reach the quality levels big factions have now, but you can still get to a point where you will be respected by them and can form alliances to advance even further. The only thing that might not be possible anymore is to win an open war against Sodom or AD. Then again this game has never really supported all out wars.

What does the growth of the game population have to do with WV exploiting bugs?

Edit;
Wait, you guys have been escalating from debate to personal insults, over the course of 6 pages, over a reset of a game world? =|...

You can say you're for the reset. You can say you're against the reset. But what you can't say, is what other people should say.

You can make a case about your point, but trying to forcibly change somebody's mind is what causes a 6-page threadcrash.

Because I was the one calling for a reset then and that is exactly why. ANd back then, no one complained about server stability. Back then we told you to stfu and donate.
