The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare

imagine pclaiming a patch of land just outside a town
you build a ram
you surround the ram with strongboxes
the defenders of the town need a strongbox bashers to remove the ram
but you dont need a strongbox bashers to break through and operate the ram when it's ready

Strongboxes have a drying time just like anything else. Might as well make a brickwall with a gate in the current world and accomplish the same thing.

Please explain how being able to easily destroy something on your own personal claim would have gamebreaking repercussions (hint: it won't).

If claims didn't cost 250 auth per tile to declaim it might be an OK idea. As it is, people pumped LP into alts and made 200-500k LP claims that take so much auth to declaim the land is pretty much theirs until about a year into the world (more now considering you can bear bash statues) and all they have to do is log in once a month. Giving pclaims more power then they already have is retarded.

@phean, houses and strongboxes are just signs until they finish drying. So no soak.

Seriously, wind chimes. Except with a fixed timer at least 24h long. And a different sprite, and required materials.

The easiest solution would simply be to be able to easily destroy anything on your own claim, yes.

No. This may seems the more obvious solution, but in H&H is just a way to add more nonsense grieving occasions.

The war of claims are war of Alts, and alts aren't so legit that we need to add reasons to use it even more.
The game let you create new chara to play different life styles. Not to create an army of robots used to claim things all around and exploit it.

And also, if the stuff on your claim can be destroyed easily, this means that the owner of a pclaim on a village area is like a God. If he decides to betray the town, he can simply delete all the buildings in 1h. That's too much power in a single man. This is a comunity game afterall.

"have power on your claim" seems legit, but in H&H ther's not "your" claim. Ther's just the claim owner that rule on the claimed land...so if someone wanna rule your land and decides to declaim you and claim it, they don't need to fight. Your wall is useless. Your door is useless. Your brickwall too is useless. Everything that we can call "defence" is useless.
That's not what the game is meant to be. Is a wild player war game, not a purples square vs red squares game.
