too bad the opposite was stated already about existing one ... ;)

I can see that you are invested heavily in World 7, or so it seems from your posts, but you need to understand the fact that within a couple weeks of World 8 launch there won't be a population in World 7 sufficiant enough for them to bother with keeping that server up. Everyone but you is just acknowledging the inevitible.....

actually they stated w7 will be up until hafen is, in their eyes (or maybe objectively?) better than w7.

There has been no other statement yet than that both will run parallel for awhile ... there never was an "until" ...

Think of it as an opportunity to gain experience for the Devs in maintaining 2 world servers with existing accounts at the same time ;)

I'm sure they'd wipe w7 in not long time because:

I disagree emphatically. It would be very relieving to finally let the current code die an honorable death and have it rest in peace, rather than having it continue its zombie-like existence. :)

You seem to completely misunderstand what I'm talking about in the post you quoted. I'm not talking about the game itself, obviously, since that's what we're currently working on and trying to improve. As we've stated on multiple occasions, we consider the game we're releasing in August to be Haven & Hearth -- the natural continuation of the game currently running. It is going through the same kinds of changes that it would have done if we had simply continued working on it without doing the excursion with Salem. If anything, the experience with Salem lets us avoid some things that we would perhaps have done otherwise that turned out to be less-than-optimal.

What I'm talking about in the post you quoted is, indeed, the current version of the code. The code itself is outdated, obsolete and replaced with better, leaner and more capable constructs. It is purely a remark on the technical aspects of the implementation, not the game itself.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

What failure?
