I have to say that I disagree. The changes implemented only increase micro management, and make any sort of large settlement unmanageable.

Some examples:
- Apple/mulberry trees still remove the same amount of hunger, whilst still yielding only a handful of fruits/berries per day.
- Trees yield limited amount of branches but
a) you still can't fit more than few baking products into an oven
b) roasting meat can only be done on a campfire (which requires 5 branches...)
- Basic skills require the same amount of LP, but the means that you can grind them up have been greatly reduced as
a) there is a limited amount of tree bark/branches available
and
b) all animals are level X due to the civ levels

The problem doesn’t become so obvious in the beginning, but will start to hurt you a great deal once you realize its full extent.

Currently I’ve to boat down several minutes just to find branches to make a fire. And this is before the baking/metal industry truly kicks off...

Try playing in a smaller group. And yes, I too have to boat for a couple of minutes to get branches for grinding, but I do have branches for making stuff at my base because I'm conserving those. As for hunger, I don't find it any harder than it was before. Never relied much on fruits. And I like X animals, they give more LP.

Is what the Wild Windswept Weed becomes random or is it determined based on some stuff, I'd guess the second as I got the worst possible seed, hop which is completely useless without wheat and then still not that great, three times. If it's not random does anyone know what influences it?

According to Loftar, it depends what terrain you harvest it on. I'm guessing forest can be hops, onions, hemp or carrots.

Then I'm probably just unlucky, I'd guess grassland could give quite a few, hope the one I found on forest gives something better.

More precisly, the yield of the WWW depends not on the terrain, but simply the geographical locations in such a way that it is more-or-less random, but stays roughly the same in the same spot.

Its still laggy and fishing got way more annoying now that you get disconnected when it takes 30 second to catch a fish..or not.

Fishing's a lot more useful now, at least. I do think the food tree's should give at least double the food/day that they do now. They have less fruit/nuts than they do branches :(

Do branches and stuff ever respawn or are they perma-depleted when you take them?

Also I'm not sure how people are having problem with food. Me and my friends have been doing incredibly well with just rabbits, and when we really need food we take about a ten minute trip to some grassland to the west of us and rape just about anything within 50 yards of us. The spot we founded doesn't have a lot of wood either yet we still have a timber house up and are working on another log cabin.

All it takes is some thinking and planning ahead.
