Ah, I should perhaps mention it lest noone ever discovers it; there are a few items that have become curiosities in addition to their previous functions. These include boar tusks, deer antlers and pearls.

You're a nice guy, kinda always thought so , so I'll be serious. I think Jorb and Loftar are basically alright guys with some issues here and there. I think they, like most people, are suseptable to manipulation if done correctly. I don't think they are particularly firendly nor are they particularly social...but then this isn't real life...it's the internet. I believe a couple of the "big wigs" are so manipulative that they could get J&L to cheat for them without them even knowing it. I've had the wool pulled over my eyes more than once, we are all human, and I can state without question there's a couple amonsgt your "group" that are sociopaths without a second's doubt. Do I think they handed you each 100k...no that was joke. Do I think many in your group know so many exploits, inside backdoors and inner workings of this game that they cheat with gusto and shameles abandon. You betcha.

You see, this game (use to be anyway) has 1 feature that set statistical analysis on red alert. The random spawn. Because of the random spawn, its statistically impossible for the same few people to get everything so fast and so "consistant" with so many people playing. "SKill" has noting to do with where you spawn. It's random. Yet the same few people end up with the top q resources in every single world. And they don't get it 6 months later after fighting for it...they get it on day 1 and 2. Even though 100's of other people are also spawning all over the world and looking with the same strategy. Do people with good skill and knowledge rise to the top?...sure. But the truth is there are 100's of people here with good skill and knowledge of this game. There are MORE than just a few people who have been with this game since world 1. Yet it is ALWAYS and ONLY those few people who sit on the 99 soil everytime. Here's to random convergence...but even Stephen Hawkins wouldn't buy it...not with this kind of consitency. So what's the answer? Regardless of whether J&L know it or not, or how, or CARE. I think it's clear something has been going on since world 1 and back then some didn't even deny it.

You are free to speculate on the more precise details of such a mechanism, for I am, indeed, aware of none. :)

Seriously Rhiannon. I agree with you that I don't like the new system, and I am therefore patiently forum lurking until the wrinkles are ironed out. But your lunacy is doing nothing for the pro-W4 system argument.

Here is the secret:

That is me, W3 - day five or so. Mapped area prospected, checked for high quality resources. I spent the first weeks doing nothing but that. And I wasn't the only one doing it.

I guess you're one of those who think that successful people in real life as well were just "lucky" or that they "abused the system". Here is a little secret: most of them got where they were through hard work.

You should see a doctor.

there are lots of decent spots out there, and everyone who has control of one (or more) actually went out exploring and found them. refer to haba's post. surely you don't actually believe that every top q spot has been found and claimed already? my group finds new ones constantly. last world a new member found a q90+ soil spot that we hadn't found, and it was pretty close to our village. just keep looking.

You are all ridiculously dedicated and I am in awe at your labor of love. I went for a 24 hour straight prospecting run before burning out and settling down. I just felt the over whelming need to tell you how awesome your work ethic is.

A coin have two sides..There is some good things with this LP system..But also some bad..After spending alot of hours since the start of w5 (own house, and other things) i must say the old system was far more better in many ways..
What if they did "Crafttrees" u have to choose a crafting tree ex carpenter/miner or Farmer/claymaker or something like that...As in real life where u many times choose your own path to the job u learn.I with many others miss the "old" world..
