Then why not just remove UA and Melee stats completely?

Because then random alts could kill people with ease. Also, someone with more UA SHOULD have the advantage.

I completely agree with you here. I'm saying for the people arguing FOR movement combat should technically be against combat stats entirely.

There already are legitimate ways for weaker hearthlings to take down stronger ones, such as opportunity knocks or just through sheer numbers.

In a fight between a 800 UA character and a 200 UA character the 800 UA character should win because of the sheer time investment unless he is extremely outskilled. This isn't to say that the 200 UA character should be instantly killed in the battle and unable to even attempt to flee.

Basically movement combat removes the sting of death because the time investment is unimportant. I don't understand why a band-aid fix to the problem would be used instead of just removing movement combat. Titan characters aren't going to dominate the hearthlands. As seen in W3, a Cold War-esque will likely develop. People won't be willing to needlessly risk their time-invested characters when losing them actually matters.

Personally i'd be fine with combat being 100% based on the q of your gear.

Do you guys really think cobaltjones intended that question to be serious? I believe the point he was making is when do the dumb little half-fix suggestions end. Not everyone is going to be pleased no matter the result.

its now 1 am in swedish time, so i would say the reset is impending. Because it is sunday early monday.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
