That is in the situation when the enemy has advantage through other means. If you are hit and now have 0 defense, I do not think a valor strike a good course of action especially since you no longer have attack for slide/oaken stance (unless you mean valor strike and run afterwards).

Valor strike seems to be weird for me that it not only cost 6 IP and has one (if not the) longest cooldown of the game but GIVES the enemy 2 IP as well (make it a net difference of 8).

How about we just remove combat stats so everybody is on totally equal ground besides gear and skill? Then remove thunder and movement combat in general.

Well, people just ran over the cannibalism topic so:
Make it so cannibalism takes you closer (or something like that) to the stats of the character's meat, so alt farming is not possible and actually killing higher level players means more than equipment.

Nope nope nope.
Just remove call down the thunder, flex would cost 1 IP each, dash would take a little less time, etc.
