Ehm no it wasnt? Let's say older player was grinding lp 8 hours per day, and newer 14 hours per day. Eventually the newer would catch up to him because he was getting more LP. That is not the case with this system.

Sounds like this assumes a certain, implausible scenario in which each player is kept constantly stuffed with the same valued curios...

A player that is online for a long time and actively seeking out the best LP curio's with the shortest times (currently ants/ladybug/etc) and switching them up as soon as they are done will catch the less active player in no time, because although the less active player will still be gaining LP, he or she will be gaining it at a much slower rate.
