Even your own argument very much disproves the point, because there was, indeed, and precisely, a general consensus in the initial testing group -- even throughout! -- that the game wasn't where it needed to be. Do you think that this somehow escaped us, or perhaps that we just sat idly by and twiddled our thumbs when we could have furthered the better interests of the game instead? Surrounding ourselves with "yes men"?

Hey I actually enjoyed the salem alpha, it was peaceful time with no murders and pacifist bears.Nostalgic pic of my first salem base.

#yesmen

To be honest, making these videos takes quite a bit of time. The one in this thread took most part of an entire dev-night, so I'd rather do them sparingly.

I dread to think how many "dev-nights" are consumed arguing with your manic-depressive defeatists. Surely such time would be better spent making videos for us yes men.

For what it's worth, Jorbtar, all criticism aside, you guys have made what I consider to be the greatest video game in history, and this is coming from a gamer who started in 1981 with an Atari 2600 and Yars Revenge.

Jorbtar sold Slaem to Chief and his buttbuddies so that they could circle-jerk forever and personally, I think it's great

.... So who the fuck is Chief? IRL?

And why would a guy with enough money to buy a functioning MMog be playing an MMog???

Also: that would explain why my account was erased....what a prick.

Why would a guy with enough money to buy a functioning basketball team be playing basketball?

Jorb and loftar I love your game, first chance I got I thanked loftar for his openness to let us tinker with his client as well. Just wish you guys joined us in the adventures of endgame Haven. Even if you guys joined us in disguise just to see what the wonders people have done with your game. Mechanics reworked in creative and interesting ways to create a sort of art that can't ever be experienced from the surface. Maybe I am clueless and you live amongst us already but if your not, you would be welcomed and probably have more constructive fun as in development wise if you guys tried to enjoy the game with us. Examples such as "shoulder to shoulder in pvp" or "deep in the dungeons with the bots" and less of the "hermitage, play the game as intended" experience.

Painhertz this is a dumb conversation, he bought the game and the updates that have been put out since then have not been bad at all but the guy is still a douchebag and his lame ass trolling shines through his developer persona often enough that it counter-acts any cool additions he's made for Salem so who gives a shit.
