As you mentioned, this is a staging ground for concepts. It is a game too, but in the end it IS alpha. If the server needs to go down for a month or two, even three, in order to progress concepts and test effectively, implement smoothly, and maintain a game that becomes more and more playable then so be it.

Problem is if they bring the server down for 2-3 months, alot of the not hardcore players will likely forget the game exists and move on =s. They would lose alot of players that way. Wiping the world and letting us play in a fresh world will no doubt get some qq threads but at least the game is still there, even if nothing gets updated. Hoping it doesnt come to that tho :S

I think a server wipe now would be the best. Lik bmj said, if the server has to be down for months this game will lose a lot of players.

And I don't think it's so fun to play on a server after months just to see you're place is nuked.

At ground level, the following macrogrids are nuked:
(5, 2), (5, 3), (5, 4), (8, -12), (9, -11), (10, -3), (-4, 5), (-9, 0) and (-12, 9). EDIT: Also (4, -9), (-2, -2) and (3, 6).
At the first cave level, the following are nuked:
(3, 7), (-6, -5), (-12, 7), (-12, 8), (-12, -2) and (-12, -3).
The other cave levels appear to be unaffected, but there may be some insides of houses that are gone as well.

Each coordinate represents a 1000x1000 tile portion of the map, where (0, 0) is the portion whose north-west corner is exactly on the ruined RoB. X and Y increase, as expected, towards the south-east.

Thanks for the info.

I've been waiting for W6 anyways :D Although, If i may, i suggest putting up 2 separate servers for haven, server 1 would be like world 4, and server 2 would be like world 5, just to keep everyone happy ;)

Cause not everyone, or even most everyone would enjoy that?

It seems simple, if some people get wiped or lands get wiped, why not all?
