I mainly use simple file storage. For some things, I use BSD DB.

Is you game server app multithread?
Did you try deadline scheduler?
Can you also post output of:
iostat -x 30
mpstat -P ALL 30

I'm posting here to confirm that the in-game minimap is still not updating for me, even on the default client. The issue appears to be server-side and has afflicted my friends as well for over a month now.

How come the lag is getting worst?
It is occur more times than before updating OS.
I want to play but this lag strangled me to play.. :*(

I am also experiencing increases in lag over the past hour. TIME TO WHEEL OUT THE BIG GUNS LOFTAR

It seems worse to me too, but we might need to give GMs some time to analize what is happening after the update.

The lag is even more soul crushing then before :(

Just wanted to log in and say that too, though the site lags when the game lags as well.
