i really love the concept of this game, the only thing that scares me is the horrible everlasting lag.

EDIT: I might be overly optimistic, but I'm used to seeing the donation figures for DF.

Very few games will ever get that kind of support on the basis of donations.

this lag is evil incarnate, but my the biggest issue in my opinion is the crashes! those horrible, vile, disgusting, hell-spawned CRASHES!!! i am tired of losing resources because of a crash! burn the crashes! burn them!

Making a list of monthly donations is a good thing.
Subconsciously, we all want to see figures of money increase, not decrease.

How much do adds pay? I reckon you could get 500-600 unique hits per day. Adds on site and forum wouldn't kill us, as long as they're not pop-ups.

Surprisingly little. It's been a long time but when I looked into that for a larger forum, it was pennies a day.

this game is unplayable for now.
several crashes per day, epic lags from time to time, etc.
and this is only 200 people plays together. increasing ram from 1gb to 2gb is great, but maybe u should shut down apache for a while? i think everybody can live without forum couple of days instead of all unable to play.

and btw think about further times, when it will be 300 players, 400, 500.
again all be waiting for a new ram upgrade? it's won't change anything. game is dead for now.

(btw, apache eating 1.5gb is nonsense for small forum like this one. maybe u need help with configure?)

Well that always depends on which ads you place or are able to place on your homepage. If it is just some random ad you are right, but certain ads about finances or credtis for example pay quite alot per click. Not that I would like this option for this forum.
