Boston is now called Providence. Chief actually put a lot of work into the game, we have had multiple patches in a matter of months. The capital is not a safe place anymore as you can get infected by diseases now. Hours ago the new mini patch makes diseases kill, so more than ever it is not safe to stay there. Witchcraft is in the game, they can kill you even in Providence. So no, it may look lIke a safe haven but it is actually not.
It is certainly faster to get up on your feet now, but the end game is still challenging. Money does help, but the further down the line you go the less money matter. I completely disagree that money is a disgusting thing and we should avoid that. If anything, I think it is a realistic way to archieve something bigger faster. I indeed hope haven stay free, as a beacon of our ideology, but at the same time I am glad that Salem moves on the other path, so we can compare the results. Even if it shows nothing, it is still better than moving in the same direction.
More and more mobs are being added into the game, both normal and boss like. Elements of updates sometimes are kept secret. The game is much more noob friendly, and will become more and more friendly overtime. That means new friends, more interactions, more fun teasing and competing with each others to me.
I do see problems remains within the game and sometime the devs, but I dont consider myself his asskisser. Still, Im grateful for what he have done, though sometimes I do have disagreement with him.
All of your complaints about stuff could have been arrested without you knowing. I dont know if your hate on chief is because he used to be a bad guy in the past, his actual personality or hus management of the game, but I hope we can have a fresher look and a much more open conversation the next time we talk about Salem.
thank you Jorb and Loftar for everything.

That sounds utter retarded to me. People have to buy and trade things in town, so everyone probably just sends their worthless alts over now. Apparently chief turned the game even more into a PvP shitfest.

Please stay in Salem. While I don't mind cash shops per se, I'd rather make a one-time payment for haven than having serious pay2win rat-races and cheating here.

He has a giant douchebag personality, simple as that. How he behaves on the Salem forums, even as a developer is pretty much disgusting (last time I checked anyway).

Trading is still fine, just dont afk in town, or be near the sicks. Also we have rent stall for big businesses.
PvP is different now with arson. Your base wont be destroyed easily. Crime overhaul make it extremely purnishing to commit crime now, with revenge. Cutting criminal hands off wont give scent, which is OP. Guns are pp but nobody use them now. I cant agree with you that it is a PvP shitfest as players are actually safer now. Unless he commits crimes.

I dont like p2w also but pay for convenient is a much better term. Unlike HnH getting strong quick wont put you over the newly make char as he can reach your level someday. Doesnt mean your work is useless, it is just the benefit of it is not as profound as in HnH. People in Salem do try to getstrongquick, but at least it is ok to take it slowly.
Silver can be made too easy at the moment imo, with overpriced savage charms, people can make hundreds per hour. It is non sense to buy the silver from cashshop. I cant say the same about the boxes but after you have a well established base you can make hundreds of the same items you can buy from the shop, so no it is not really that bad.

I see, but we wont complain as long as he stay up late for the updates. Im a moderate person but not sure about others as I did hear complaints.
EDIT: dear friends while im trying to argue in favor of Salem, i just want to share my view, not trying to correct, or convince, you to go play it. Sorry if it sounds like i do.

I think it's fair that people of the Salem community keep the rest of us up-to-date, this probably the wrong thread though.
The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare
