Given how complicated it is right now to terraform I would say that it isn't exactly trivial to bot. Which then has to count as an upside of those tedious mechanisms I guess.

The number of newbie bots you'd have to kill to terraform even a small area is astounding.

It is and it isn't. I believe it's being advertised that you can massively terraform the world but it takes a lot of work. Turning a plain into a plateau is no small task. At the same time the average player is not expected to go on a large scale terraforming project to play the game. This was also Jorb working entirely alone on a project meant for many hands. Mind you that Jorb has mentioned that better tools for terraforming are planned.

I get that and I actually kinda like that aspect of it (makes group projects of massive effort that much more impressive), but the way it's phrased in the update is horrible. There's nothing about that that would make anyone want to play the game. They need to hire a new PR guy.

Im new but ive had a little look at the new game, and i was thinking, they are adding things from H&H to the new game and developing ideas for it.

Basically its sounds to me that they are replacing H&H, it will take ages to get the new game up and running, then you guys think they will come back to this game and tinker with it when they have a new successful game with developments from the old(also possibly people from H&H jumping onto the new game permanently).

I think in the end H&H will not develop, if its stays it will generally stay the same as most energy will go to the new game.

p.s Im not saying its a bad thing (although i have become addicted to this game) , o and the new game sounds fantastic ^^

If anything you have it completely the opposite of reality. Rest assured that Salem will NEVER replace Haven.

Despite what people think they are two completely different games. Different enough that I assure you on release Salem wont even cause a small drop in Haven players.
