They're either demonic or they've been bewitched. Of course, they could also be placeholder artwork. I like 'em, though.

to be honest i dont care what graphics, Horses and flying brooms = epic , regardless of their eating disorders =]

I hope they're not placeholders and rather indicate things to come. Their style is amazing.

Besides the server crashes are the devs/salem producers aware of the insane lagspikes currently in H&H?
More often then not there are little lag spikes for a few seconds, but often a lot longer as well, especially during primetime.

I'm not sure if they know how to fix these, but I guess they don't since they would have by now?

I just hope the H&H networking code/hardware is outdated and Salem will be improved and lag free.
I would even delay Salem if I was the producer and the lag is like currently in H&H, the hardcore gamers will adept, but I fear you will lose the casual crowd if this isnt fixed

I like to lay the blame for the lag and the server crashes on a complete lack of funds with regards to H&H. So, at least the way I'm looking at things I think that A: Salem will release without such horribleness, and hopefully with nearly none of both, and B: Over time after Salem's release once development returns to H&H, H&H's lag and server crashes will be fixed, although I suspect a complete world restart will be required once the fixes are implemented.

Its not good marketing for Salem either though.

People hear about Salem and try H&H to see what to expect and then get this lag and move on.

I dont realy think that, Since this is a good game and you like it you probably will keep on playing no matter how much lagg there is.

I saw jorb mention once that item handling was done sub optimally for HnH, and once they fix that it will reduce server load considerably. However, to make this fix, they need to overhaul a lot of haven code. It's also why they're not updating haven, because they'd have to re-write everything anyway.

Ok, how you draw this conclusion, I'll never know. What does A have to do with B? One is an indie dev project with absolutely no budget to do more than pay the server taxes every month. The other is a commercial project with full funding.

Most of the "legends" in MMO development had their own little indie projects before they did anything commercial, and I'll guarantee that every one of them was problematic in some way.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

The Salem server doesn't lagg at all, I've never even felt a spike. The closest you get to lagg is when someone crashes the server. Hope that's a worthwhile indication of things to come.

Probably because there isn't 500+ players playing all the time on Salem.
