No-one knows, not even the devs. :) There's a reason why estimates are always presented with a lower bound, but no upper bound.

Did devs already said if there will be any good trading mechanics or drastical changes there? Or maybe changing barterstands, so they can be used for safe trading or something?

Nothing has been said on the subject, but I agree with you entirely. It's not reasonable to expect major cities to post player-guards at barter stands 24/7 to prevent theft. They need some form of automated security that we can put in place or else they just won't be viable.

Player-built stalls would've worked great in Salem with braziers, but alas the devs opted to centralize trade in Boston. Hopefully we might get defensive structures in Hafen, which should limit theft a great deal.

That is mostly what i had in mind for barters, to just not be destroyable otherwise they will be useless like now and mainly just used for storage. Safe trading zone would be very good.

I'm strongly opposed to completely safe zones. But with the current defenses they'd be safe enough if you could buy at range, but had to walk up to them to steal.

I think solution for trading would be for a village of a certain size to be able to produce a single building (market stall) at which all the members can register their goods and prices, the total goods will be available to view as a list of items, selecting the sought for item will make a spreadsheet of q goods and their prices. The player who is not from that village will make purchase and the money is registered to the account of the seller. When that seller comes to view the stall their payments only are available for them to collect.

It is reasonable to assume this cannot be stolen from as any one from the village can be considered to be manning it at some stage. Steal only possible after damage to totem indicating successful raid, this way it cannot be used as a safe hoard.

all village using one stall

What about needing certain village authority or whatever mechanics would be, to be able to build village auction house which would work worldwide?

Please no more globalization, we have way too much of that with all these teleportation options.
