As someone who hunts mainly for meat, not just LP, I'd like to throw in my opinions:
More meat from wild kills: +++
My main concern is with the bow focus 1 traveler sack, backpack, and merch robe dismantling a bear already fills almost a full inventory. With no sack or backpack and increased bear meats that means multiple loads to clean a bear. Same thing with deer herds. Hunting while walking is now less viable, and boat hunting is even more the way to go - which is unfortunate. Making corpses draggable could be helpful?
BBB change: +
Gonna have to ask the number crunchers if this is now better FEP/meat than roasting the bear meat, but it's a positive change.
Roasting speed increase: +++
Haven't had a chance to try it, but obviously any increase is welcome by all.
Palisade soak decrease and sledgehammer: --
I don't see a reason to make palisades take less investment to destroy. It currently seemed pretty reasonable... keeps most out, but still plenty can smash them.
All attacks interrupt aim: -
I haven't gotten to try this yet, but I'm assuming anyone spamming punch means you'll never be able to fire a ranged weapon. Hits that do damage already interrupted aim, so I can only assume that's how this works. I do like that using range in melee will be hard, but this seems excessive.
Less than 10% automatically misses: --
Should have just prevented shots less than 10% from firing. That would at least have prevented ammo wasting by accidental double clicks (annoying with stones, painful with arrows.)
Wooden bow buff: +++
Badly needed, IMO. I look forward to finally doing some bow hunting.
Sling nerf: ---
I know it's temporary, but it shouldn't have been done. There's plenty of us who would have tested bows with the damage increase, but this interrupts the game for many people. Newbies are especially hurt. Additionally getting meat without a backpack is really going to suck horribly.
Armor/Agility change: +++
I like it a lot. I always wear a cutthroat cuirass and now I don't have to feel like a fool for doing it. I think the high end will still lean towards heavy armor, but at least there's a choice involved.
UA damage items: ++
This is definitely a good change. My only concern is if UA becomes better than melee because I think melee should have a little edge in straight fighting power.
I'd like to add more once I get a chance to try out hunting, but I'm excited despite some things that I feel negatively about.
