I wouldn't mind that but I also want something more. If this is the top it feels bad. Sling hunting was slightly stress relieving, farming is not. It's now the be all end all. So... yeah the top isn't so 'fun' tbh.

Bow hunting seems okay numberwise, but in the field making arrows will limit your aim a lot, and that will fuck everything up.

Completely agree, quiver needs to be improved and that would help a bit. Anyway, I consider converting slings into a useless item is not the best fix... but I trust the devs, so lets wait that better fix.

Hm, I'm not really sold on the current implementation of agi debuff for armour. The penalty is crippling early on, noticeable mid-game and irrelevant end-game. The problem is that it's a flat number, so it doesn't scale with character level. So now you have to progress from leather to steel, but in the end everyone will go for steel because the penalty will be a tiny percentage of their agi. IMO there shouldn't be a universally best choice, steel should be for tank style and leather or no armour for glass cannon style. So I propose that the debuff be changed to a percentage of character's agi, or if you want to keep the armour progression to an extent make it scale with square root of agi.

Oh, and I'm going to kick myself for this, but I have to tell you that you forgot to give vapns any agi penalty.

Fuck that shit. Take a moment to think what that actually means. No sense of progression, ever.

Better armor shouldn't just be stronger and more durable, but also lighter and less encumbering.

It is a frigging shirt. What's next? Agi penalty for wearing clothes?

Lolwut? You still get to raise your agi, and it still matters a lot for PvP. It's just that you have to make tough choices instead of having an obvious best choice.

Or do you honestly think that having everyone run around with same armour and same weapons is a good thing?

Having finally logged on and actually tried slinging for my self now, I really feel this is an "update" that probably could have waited until you had whatever idea you have in mind in place for hunting.

I recently died and honestly hunting is by no means a viable way of LP gain for me now at this time. My survival being only 40 (So making arrows while on the move that won't really have any decent quality to them) and then wooden bow hunting is still pretty bad for me right now at only 90 MM.

The tiny inventory space and the inability to open a quiver and manage the arrows inside is a huge buzz kill, and no way in hell am I going to resort to grinding across some huge field for a couple of hours every day, there is literally zero fun in that.

I'm not saying the sling nerf is bad in the long run, but really it's probably something that could have been held off for a bit.

Edit: Oh and why not add the option to "Collect Bones" right away like you can butcher before skinning? Makes sense if you make it take a little longer than if you had butchered before collecting the bones, but also would really help towards making bow hunting more reasonable.

As someone who hunts mainly for meat, not just LP, I'd like to throw in my opinions:

More meat from wild kills: +++
My main concern is with the bow focus 1 traveler sack, backpack, and merch robe dismantling a bear already fills almost a full inventory. With no sack or backpack and increased bear meats that means multiple loads to clean a bear. Same thing with deer herds. Hunting while walking is now less viable, and boat hunting is even more the way to go - which is unfortunate. Making corpses draggable could be helpful?

BBB change: +
Gonna have to ask the number crunchers if this is now better FEP/meat than roasting the bear meat, but it's a positive change.

Roasting speed increase: +++
Haven't had a chance to try it, but obviously any increase is welcome by all.

Palisade soak decrease and sledgehammer: --
I don't see a reason to make palisades take less investment to destroy. It currently seemed pretty reasonable... keeps most out, but still plenty can smash them.

All attacks interrupt aim: -
I haven't gotten to try this yet, but I'm assuming anyone spamming punch means you'll never be able to fire a ranged weapon. Hits that do damage already interrupted aim, so I can only assume that's how this works. I do like that using range in melee will be hard, but this seems excessive.

Less than 10% automatically misses: --
Should have just prevented shots less than 10% from firing. That would at least have prevented ammo wasting by accidental double clicks (annoying with stones, painful with arrows.)

Wooden bow buff: +++
Badly needed, IMO. I look forward to finally doing some bow hunting.

Sling nerf: ---
I know it's temporary, but it shouldn't have been done. There's plenty of us who would have tested bows with the damage increase, but this interrupts the game for many people. Newbies are especially hurt. Additionally getting meat without a backpack is really going to suck horribly.

Armor/Agility change: +++
I like it a lot. I always wear a cutthroat cuirass and now I don't have to feel like a fool for doing it. I think the high end will still lean towards heavy armor, but at least there's a choice involved.

UA damage items: ++
This is definitely a good change. My only concern is if UA becomes better than melee because I think melee should have a little edge in straight fighting power.

I'd like to add more once I get a chance to try out hunting, but I'm excited despite some things that I feel negatively about.

Please make agility debuff scale with the agility, it will suck to see everybody with heavy armor because it will be everyones choice.

Most of the update is cool. But somethings don't make much sense to me. First of all cool-downs for corner posts and Village idols as a friend of mine puts it "Cools downs for the sake of cool down are uncool".

Then the Agility nerf, if AGI matters in combat then the debuffs from armors should have been way more lenient or at least proportional to AGI itself.

Lastly, the sling and aim nerf: I don't see what the hurry was, the changes could have been implemented once you had the complete idea, making slings useless till then seems like a bad judgement.

The last two have practically made hunting totally futile for beginnging ranged users. Unless they want to suicide.

The updates should have been made keeping the noob class of players in mind too.
