Hetzner has nothing to do with the lag. They are just a data center. The lag is caused by the server that loftar bought, Not that hetzner is supplying. Figure out how this stuff works before making posts.

P.S- I don't think its even the server that's causing the lag. Im pretty sure from how they make it sound Loftar wrote all the code extremely basically which made it longer and more strenuous on the server than it needs to be. Notice Loftar did an update that got rid of W6 lag without buying a new server, I think he just needs to update the code to more efficient coding and the server it is on will be fine. But,We can't have everything and Loftar is working as hard as he can to make a game that doesn't make him money so give him so slack people.
Check me out on Twitch! I stream many different games and it may seem my channel is inactive but that is because I am now restarting streaming! (Click the image :D)

The world takes around 6 GB, and the combined account and character data around 3.5 GB.

How this compares to server RAM ?

The only lag I ever saw attributed to anything to do with the harddrives (Maybe?) was during World 5 when the data corrupted and the world got all of those big nuke spots. I'm not even certain that we had any bad lag then. I look forward to Loftar telling you what a moron you are in this thread.

Loftar, I've just been wondering,
for some reason the server seems to have many problem regarding "hard-drive"

I don't know if you're currently using this "SSD" for your drive or not (afaik its the now current technology)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive

The only drawback on SSD is only their capacity data capacity and THEIR PRICE,
So i think it would be wise to buy a probably a suitable one for the server's sake.
And thanks to this information, the SSD idea comes to mind.

I dont know if that could solve the problem, might not be computer savvy but i'm trying to relay information i have so it might help.
To anyone who is TLDR to the wiki, ill just sum it up

PS: My friend reported, to start up windows from the power-off condition, it would take only 8 seconds for windows 7......
And other friend using mac, it would be around 20 seconds from... 1+ min ? sorry, i've never used mac
