Keep color scheme, but make the readable area on the posts much narrower. It's a pain to read on a wide screen and I can't be bothered to make this window smaller than max. :D

Good, I really like it too, some other forums I go to have the most awful set up, some of them are barely readable and a white background is just hard on the eyes, ours is probably the clearest I know of in that way. :)

same here and ive used many forums

the only real layout problem this one has is the aforementioned line length, it becomes
unbearable when combined with the length of posts; people here get very wordy

I agree in principle, but I more than dread going into phpBB and trying to correct it in some reasonable manner.
