There were custom clients before loftar made the client open source, they're not going away.

I lack the willpower to save my life after this game comes out. The gods are cruel.

Sugestion: Seing as how in H&H1 we had almost no sound at all, could you make it easy for us to add our own sounds to the game?
Like we just add the file to sounds folder and rename it. It's a huge downer playing H&H1 because of the lack of sound.

Question: What's stopping you from trying to make this game a business?

If they look at the game as a business they will lose interest in it and probably begin to hate it quickly.

Like Salem.

With no safe zones + permadeath, experience for someone new can be very harsh.

Wat? Newb unfriendliness is the core of this community and game, we won't break the tradition will we? O.o

Of course not, he's just being whiny
*helpful.
This game lacks playerbase. The world must know.

Back when cool people still played (hue) there
were entire communities / towns dedicated to
helping new players learn the game. I learned
the game by walking around aimlessly and just
so happening to find someone willing to accept
me into their village / group.

Right now may not be the best time for people
to start playing because most people have had
their fill until Hafen comes out... in comparison
to the peaks of HnH at least.

I'm not totally disputing what you say Nao but, there are still ppl, towns and whole communities helping new players learn the game, Em and Ven have starter towns, as do many others still active in game.
In some ways it's a better time to start and learn to play as the world is less populated and less aggressive, giving more time to experience the game and more chance of coming across friendly players before someone pops up and snipes you from afar. It tends to be the pvp players who leave first as your game is all about stats and once you have your titan char and have lost it/them a couple of times, your game has less interest than the peaceful or creative players who still have ongoing projects or goals.

I see, you would be far more knowledgeable on
the subject if you still play. I stopped a while
ago with village dramas n that

...but then that would mean the game is still
relatively noob friendly =o if not more so ...
perhaps mister Proknah has just not looked for
friends ? What would be noob friendly ?

Big-ass killer bees like fuck angry flying bold fullstops, ftw!

Looks tit... and I am guessing you worked on that apple tree some more Jorb, because it's looking muuuuch better now. Looking forward to taking it for a spin.

It is in fact exactly the same as in the previous screenshot. :)
