jorb and loftar, why don't you try to put at least two chiken in each other mouth and see how you can handle it? this is redicilous, really.

And how you lose your stamina? Just try dont chop all trees around you, and dont plow acres of forest without plough. Simple working at daytime and fishing with lure at night.

Do apples and branches EVER respawn on trees? What's the duration in real time?

Also, i've never known of anyone starving to death despite being half full of nutritious food. starving at total 50% hunger? ignorable in the infinite-feed apple tree version previous; but now it's deadly. If it really is a problem that needs correcting, just alter the starving point to something other then 50% total hunger (ie: 0%, which is actually a logical starving point, since your body is out of food entirely) as a temporary fix
The Dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. He doesn't really care about anything any more.

I honestly never had a problem with food. Once you get around 3-5 exploration, you start to find wild edibles like blueberries, roots, and.. chantrelles I believe they're called. With Fishing, food becomes even more available. For the string just use the roots you find. With the Hunting skill, you can catch rabbits and chickens and wring their necks for food and bones. Bones can then be used to make the hooks needed for fishing.

I am actually enjoying myself. It's a challenge. I just need to figure out a way to heal myself or my challenge will become even harder. Coming back from.. the dead! :D

building - i think you paved whole Piccadilly street for all your buildings? Than more stamina you loose, than more hungry you are. Its not important - you drink water or sit in a chair - hungry to stamina convertation is nearly same (around 1% to 1% = ).
1. dont run, just walk.
2. dont use worms for fishing - use wooden or rock lure.
3. dont move over swamp or grey swamp (i dont know, whats its name).
4. dont travel on your feet - use boat.
5. dont use clay. oh, now its very simple = )

Everyone was smiling at my shop with 5 apples for 1 coin  , but know you wont smile at it but look hungry at it. :D

Now I could make an Appleplantation for quality wood and apples in a city and live well by selling wood and apples.

I like the changes so far and i think i got a bit spoilt by my former life. I forgot how hard the start was...maybe you guys forgot it too?
So stop whining and get to work ;)

Only thing that needs changing are

* Elm Boughs should be usable on houses, otherwise people can only make buildings if their in or near pine forest which can be very far from some spawns, this seems to have been an unintended oversight.
* Tree refreshing should be something other then decay which is to unpredictable, this makes an orchard or mulberry leaf plantation to inefficient to even contemplate. Allowing higher quality trees to refresh faster could work.
* Hunger gain on the now finite fruits/nuts should be raised to reflect their new scarcity, also adding a bit of FEP to them would be reasonable as well
* Take out the decimal point from FEP, the increased granularity is good but FEP its a completely arbitrary unit and decimals just make numbers longer and harder to read, starting at 100 to fill the FEP bar is preferable to 10.0 from a UI ergonomic perspective.
