Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare

I too partake of shoehorning vaguely interesting things into a conversation to seem as though my input has any bearing on matters at hand. Some people call this "reaching." And speaking of reaching, did you know that the average ape has a longer reach than the average human? - Meaning the subsequent "arounds" would have greater range. - And speaking of apes and old things, here's my favorite scene from the original Planet of the Apes to illustrate what happens when a bunch of dudes indulge in faux-/psudo-/quasi-intellectual shitposting.

Yay.

To return the subject to Hafen.
Please... Jorb, Loftard... stop listening to your mostly awful community and do what's right: Get back to making a free game for us, you selfish bastards. (inb4 res ipsa loquitur.)

Acting like you're well above pseudo-intellectual shitposting while shitposting yourself makes you just as bad, friend
And he was replying to painhertz's implication that the game needs 2-3k players to be worth bothering with so it's not exactly reaching

Not sure if you're a native English speaker but that poem would more point to discussion of travel mechanics than population so if anything, he's replying to your post.....

I interpreted it as the road less traveled -> a game with a smaller community

Hm, yes. Maybe the solution should be to move the divider further to the left? The golden ratio might be more pleasing to the eye.

Yeah, I guess I somewhat agree. I think "Shit where you eat, and see what sticks" is a pretty good rule to live by though. :)
Anyway, I think your assessment could have been somewhat more charitable, what's not pseudo-intellectual when you come down to it? It was what it was.

Nah, actually I was expressing the same sentiment as I had previously expressed, but in the context of a fast travel discussion. Namely that one shouldn't try to appease the masses, but instead keep Haven as something unique and interesting. I guess doing it through the medium of masturbation is not very conducive to getting one's point across though. But hey, I'm also trying to not pander to the masses! ;)
