Then accept someone to help you and let him do the script. For example I personally know OdinLives, I'm sure he wold be happy to code a script for this and would have it done in like 1 hour tops.

I don't disagree with you, but they know as well as you do how they could fix this. If they want to bother with it, maybe they will. If not, it's a free game that's fun when it works.

Server crashes do, and probably always will, often require some level of manual intervention to ensure, among other things, that shutdown happens correctly and that map regions that were being loaded during the crash aren't nuked.

What part of alpha is hard to understand? Some issues take more than a week to find and fix in a way that doesn't screw other things up. If they fixed the crash issue and suddenly the server started lagging nonstop people would bitch about that. Just accept that things are going to get fixed as they can, and find other things to do during downtime.

Problem is they are unable to fix it, we had daily crashes for more then a week now. Today even 2 crashes

Making a script that automatically saves the map, shutdowns and restarts the server when it crashes would be so easy, but I guess it's not wanted, having a 12/24h uptime is prefered by the developers.

I hate to say this but.... 2011ers.
