such a short memory, loftar. you shut it down because many ppl cried how it was impossible to raid/seige when it notifies the claim owner of every tresspassing on pclaim!

Perhaps, but in that case, it must surely at least have been along with some extenuating circumstances like ranged weapons being broken or something? I can't imagine us having something against a fair fight instead of off-line raiding.

Yes exactly, the arguments against XMPP tended to be along the lines of "Walls are too overpowered, raiding a base is hard enough without them getting notified" or something like that but I believe there was a fairly large majority in agreement that XMPP notifications were generally a nice thing to have despite these other factors.

Oh and here's another question for you caused by something I came across earlier while I was looking over some of the XMPP related threads. If you can recall, do you still have the same intentions with character development as you did in 2011? Something about making the world more "magic" and moving in a direction that leads to less spreadsheets and numbers and more lore.

If my memory serves me well I believe it had some search functions ... Yep, still working.

Experiment: XMPP notifications

Will we get more industries in Hafen? Will the current ones be improved or will they remain the same?

From the sounds of it we've already got more trees, foods, and crafts. At the very least, if decay mechanics make it in, handling food transitions will be another industry to handle.
