Yes, you need to refer 3 friends in order to secure an invitation according to that link. They are asking people to verify the link when in actuality they want people to click the link to secure their invitation.

This question would not be under false pretense if they were using the link beta.salemthegame.com as that is just asking if the site is legit. That would qualify as a real question and would be fine in this thread. Having numerous people posting their referral links in this thread asking for verification proves it is disingenuous.

Anyway, for those that missed it, yes, there are beta sign-ups. There are no exact details on the website, but it looks like Teck has the general information right. It's saying that if you get friends to sign up through your link, you'll secure a spot in the beta.

Ya, just verified all of the information about the site.
You can get to the beta signups through salemthegame.com at the bottom of the page. It links you to "http://salemthegamebeta.herokuapp.com/" but it appears that beta.salemthegame.com works as well. The website is hosted on the same ip as paradoxplaza.com and other paradox operations and games. There is no reason to assume that this is a hoax or scam. When signing up for the beta, you should be given this message:
"The Salem Beta begins soon. Sign up for your chance to play early. When you sign up a unique URL will be given to you. Get 3 friends to sign up using your referral URL and ensure your spot in the beta. Thank you for the interest!"
