read back. (top of the same page you posted.)

There is no such thing currently, but we might consider it as it sounds like a potentially nice thing. :)

As for something that reminds slightly of it, however, it is possible to hold both a construction site and a container open at the same time, and thus to use the contents of that container directly for building without having to transfer it to your character's inventory (similarly to how it is possible to craft directly to and from containers).

I think it's safe to say that there will be no support for apple iphone, since there's barely any support for windows (or Linux), which is what every intelligent gamer uses, oculus rift would be kinda cool though.

@ Kaios - We've moved on now, and just as I go to post I now have to follow that ^^ lol, but, I did quite a bit of mining today and it made me realise that whilst you may be correct in general about the blind faith aspect, it actually isn't at all relevant to what I was complaining about which is the possible introduction of more magic and maybe even witchcraft. I already know I don't like that kind of thing, the biggest problems I have with Haven are the druids, the trolls and fast travel.

The reason I love Haven so much is because it feels 'real' to me, I love the idea of surviving in the wilderness and then gradually building up, design and crafting and raising my skills and produce. The introduction of more 'magic' is just going to ruin it for me, lol, I don't need to try it to see, I already know it. You will probably laugh at this but I don't use the fuel bug or the tanning bug, though I admit I use night vision and hide objects and the curio/animal radius, but purely because this is a dangerous game in terms of wildlife and players and I justify the use of those things in relation to safety. (curio highlighting because I don't want to miss anything, lol) But if all those things were removed for all players I would be more than happy.

It's like when I used to play the Sims, when they first introduced fairies, zombies and vampires I was like - 'ok, lets just try it and see' - the first time zombies appeared and ripped up all my crops, I went straight to the options screen and turned them all off!
Yes, I like that my char there has some beautiful wings, lol, but I never use the magic spells or any of the other mumbo jumbo that comes along with her, again, it's the progression of my char and the build and design aspect that used to attract me to it.

I'm painfully aware that the majority of my opinions about Haven are not the same as everyone elses and matter little in the grand scheme of things and that is why I am often pretty negative over the new version. When I read about the plans, changes and direction for Haven2, I don't see a new and improved Haven, I see a Haven and Salem combo - which is understandable, Salem was born out of Haven and is obviously something the devs want to pursue to a point, but from a purely personal perspective it is not the game I want to play. The end result simply means I lose something I have enjoyed and loved for the last four years, and I am grateful to the devs for that, don't get me wrong, and I also understand that it is their game and their direction and of course I wish them success with it, but we all know there is nothing out there in the same league as Haven so, it's 'woe is me', for me and I can't help it if my reactions at times reflect that.

If it allays your fears somewhat, rest assured that we are fully aware that, to the extent that "magic" even exists, it needs a very large foundation of "real" in order to even be magic. Otherwise, it's just another mechanic. One thing I really dislike about games like WoW is that everyone and their aunt seems to have glowing eyes, runic swords, horned armors and epic helmets. When everything is epic, nothing is. This is the same reason why we never got as far as implementing witchcraft in Salem.

What a time to be alive. I never expected Haven to get as far as this. :D
Question: From 0 to 10, how similar is Haven 2.0's combat system to current Haven?

A 5 or 6, perhaps. Many of the low-level constructs, like combat relations, targeting, auto-pursuit, some combat variables and such are very similar, but the more high-level constructs, like attacks, their availability, how they block, &c&c are quite different.

Really excited for the new haven to come out, although im a bit anxious that when it do come it its going to be missing, even then i know for sure that me and a bunch of friends will be starting up again. One of the things i enjoy the most is wandering about searching for rare curious and the like, just really nice when you find a nice quality piece of flotsam or a recently decayed claim with goodies left in it. On that note, are the new haven going to have less or more stuff to do ( as in things to make and find ) then the current Haven? This might be a silly question i guess but from experience its really sad when you get into a game and while theres new and exciting things in it some of the amazing things from the old one is missing.

We have a somewhat similar issue in Haven. Everyone and his grandmother wears dhelms and merchant robes. In Salem it was the admiral suit and cthulu masks (when I played). That stuff may not be overly epic and but it's equally fancy in terms of game-progress and showing off. I find it rather boring to see everyone look the same. It would be nice if several comparable pieces of clothing with different styles exist in the new Haven. This way people won't all look the same once the game is out for a few months.
