i can understand the frustrations people have with the new system, but i really can't believe anyone would think we should go back to bucketing deforestation, wildlife genocide, and grinding wheat forever in an endless race of who can poopsock (or macro) the hardest


But no one I knew did that. I've been with the same 6 people (RL firends) since world 1. NONE of them would come back with this change. FIrst time solo now..lol We never macroed or botted. Never cared about trying to "poopsack" anyone. That was just the 10% player base that was into all that griefing and bullshite (Which includes the Sodom gorup and the mods and the here to fore reffered to as "The Group".) 90% of players just played the damn sandbox, traded and did their thing in their communites while dodging fallout from bored botters, griefers and factionieers. I have alreaady stated that the curio system is fine, something new and totally ok, but NOT as the only way to get lp. I like that killing people and griefing doesn't give LP anymore, I LIKE that their is no incentive to bot common actions!!!

I believe it should be FAIR hybrid system where MULTI-Task/Step end result actions give some LP. Such as taking baked goods out of the oven, finishing a Mine hole, making SIlk thread and cloth. Stuff that takes a lot of real time effort and personal attention. DOn't wanna give LP for hunting?...FINE WITH ME...but you could give me some for making SAUSAGE! Cuts out the bot and doesn't punish me! (Insert myriad of end action multi-task item trees as example here)

Yeah what Bajuba said. It's nice not having to grind a single thing for LP. You can throw in some curiosities and focus on other things. I love how they have a wide range of studying times... that way you can do quick ones while you play and throw in some long ones during the periods you are logged off.

I didn't bot so it was only 10% of the population!!! All these other guys get special treatment and get their dick sucked by devs!!!!!!! Plz give back old system I can't make new friends!!!!!!!!!!

And THAT is trully idiotic. How does hunting every ant hill in the western world, cutting trees for naught in hope of strange dust shaving dippy name curio, acre clay farming, constanly walking for dandies and ladybugs...on and on and on NOT = grind.

I like that! Im playing with my gf and we like to keep it slow. i fact we got kinda bored when we got so many crops we couldnt control it.
Not having to grind much means more time to explore and such and also means you dont have to spend half of your day making things you dont need.
(like making giant farm for two ppl, we didnt like the idea of having to cut the whole forrest for buckets!)

idk if they're any good, but boar tusks, antlers and bear teeth are studyable now, so you could say there's a LP incentive to go hunting. there are random event mining curios, and i'm assuming some farming related craftables/random events, so these activities aren't useless in terms of LP.

as far as the 10% of botters/griefers or whatever, i agree that the majority didn't do this, but rather than a punishment to everyone, it's an elegant solution to stopping 1k UA monsters from rampaging through your town. i heard from a reliable source that in world 4, there was a player with something like 28 million LP accrued in 2 months.

truth is, any crafting/building task that gives LP has the potential to be botted. i knew a guy in w3 who was working on a farming macro - harvest wheat, replant, make flour, sit in a chair and eat from inventory. don't underestimate the ingenuity people have and the lengths people will go to cheat
