I've been working intentionally to keep them low-poly to make the client easy to download and run.

Sounds good. give us a link to download and test it. :P

Congrats, very good news!

What I'm most curious about is how the community of Salem will be like... Kinda, if it can come close to the awesomeness of this one :)

Anyways, one question, JnL:
Are you working together with other people on Salem, or is it still you two alone?

Are you able to release any information on the game, in regards to the combat system, will it be similar to HnH's?

i hope it less confusing and more simplistic. i've read so many combat guides and still don't understand how to do anything other than shoot...

It's my favorite part of HnH :(

I'm most curious about how character advancement will be handled vis-a-vis combat, ie will there be infinite leveling and will combat thus be botters and Koreans only like it is in H&H?

I've been wondering though.

3d opens options like being able to see far away. But the screenshots so far have only shown a locked topdown perspective. Can we rotate the camera around and put it more horizontal so we can see in the distance?

I hope so, but even in that case, Fog comes into play. Otherwise some people would be able to see across the "Flat" world, and others would be stuck looking at a dense fog and the tree three feet in front of them because they can't afford a decent processor.

I've got some questions as well. These quotes are from aritcles about Salem:
players will be able to terraform their surroundings...

the map can be transformed a la Minecraft...

For example, a character with a high mountaineering skill will be able to reach higher elevations

Can you confirm this? Are there different terrain heights? Is terraforming any different or is this a misunderstanding?

Other bits of info from articles:
Combat will use a real-time, positional system, so players can use terrain to an advantage.

There will be an item exchange system involving the Hudson Bay Trading Company, and an auction house to sell crafted wares.

Indians will also inhabit the area as a faction to be trusted or fought against.
