While I'm an advocate for xroads being removed completely, That does sound cool. Brings to mind the warp tiles from that old N64 game Gauntlet Legends.

But short of xroads being removed (or more accurately, not implemented into hafen) A nice solution could be a distance cap on xroads, coupled with a debuff for using them in quick succession, your first xroad jump, not a large debuff, and the negative effects go away after a short while, But if you jump again too quickly then the effects get substantially worse, and last longer, with a longer time period until you can jump without worsening it and so on so forth, until either you simply can't jump again, or you end up unconscious at your destination.

It's not a perfect (or even a particularly great idea) But I do think there ought to be a penalty, or at the very least a negative side to crossroads that goes beyond being cured by a glass of wine.

There could also be an overhaul, comprising of, basically, A master xroad, capable of being connected to the large milestones within it's radius, or under the claim of it's village, something like that. To fit in with the roads. *shrugs*

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

I've logged in to see this beauty! :P

My only emotion right now is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1dnqKGuezo
I hate you! Yes, you!
How does it matter when you die? Today? In hundred years? What will be left of you after millenia?

i dont. thats one of the things i hated most about salem actually even though i do understand why devs made it like that. it really made me hate "exploring".

Then you weren't an explorer, you were something else. That's all this means. In present HnH, you may be an explorer, in Salem, obviously you were not. Or if you participated in the activity, you participated in one that was perhaps not as well suited to you as, say, farming and raising cattle.

It is these kinds of things that create division of labor.. "I dislike this task, therefor I shall."

I personally like having to find my way home, or be damned.

On the weekends do you enjoy 2 Swedish dudes stomping on your ballsack?
Because that's the vibe I've been getting off of your ideas and suggestions

Got bored and thought why not look up things that could be found in the area the game is taking place. I found this:

http://www.swedishfreak.com/nature/swedish-berries/

it has other sections past berries, but wow on whats out there.

*shrugs* We each have our own things that we enjoy in a game, and what makes it fun or interesting. For the record, I'm the one that does the stomping (And it's usually tits, not ballsacks), but I digress. No, I enjoy a game that abandons as many conceits of the artificial as possible while still retaining enough game play elements to make it interesting. Teleportation is a particular bitch of mine, that's all.

But I've said my piece... No need to take up more bandwidth with it. It's as simple as "I think this is important to the feel of the game I'd like to play.. I'd like to see it here, because Haven and Hearth is in almost every other way that game."

One sunny day jorb feels generous and posts updates on H2.

Few days later, 30+ pages of rage and mixed opinions being flung forth and back have jorb in retreat. I think we scared him off.
