First Would it be possible for direct voice chat in game based on distance? like rust or day z?
Typing taunts while chasing people is hard... Not a coder of any kind, not sure how hard this would be, or if it's even possible without a second server to handle the voice chat.
Maybe something like hey-you-pikachu where you say a short six second message or so, and then send it to lower the amount of clutter.

I also saw lumber piles of boards, and I was wondering if those piles of lumber were being treated over time, As a brand new sawed board in reality is prone to warping unless it's been flattened and allowed to sit in a dry area for a long while, Is that the case? or is it just storage?

Didn't see anything that made me think it was a hearthfire, Anything like that around?

that's a horrible idea lol xD

I used to type while chasing / running all the time...
but the thought of somoene spamming a high pitched
screeching sound while chasing or running from me...
egh... plz no... not with this community xD

I'd look forward to the chases with "We're no strangers
to looooove." but cringe at the 5 alts running around
with Slenderman / Amnesia sounds goin on

I dunno, maybe voice chat is a bad idea, Works out pretty well on those other games though.
Typing while running isn't that hard i suppose, But that's with custom clients to handle far clicks and zoom, and water consumption, I Imagine chasing while typing will be a lot harder in the new hafen.

Also, good, lumber treating would be boring.

It could be neat if we had some control over it, similar to who can perform what acts on our homesteads. For example: Group 1 can speak to you, unknown heathlings can speak to you, hostile hearthlings cannot speak to you, and Group 2 can suck a dick for playing high pitched screeching noises across the village for an hour and has permanently lost the privilege to speak.

If voice chat was implemented there should also be a mechanic where you can cut out a hearthling's tongue so they can no longer speak.
