Loftar said on IRC salem beta is planned to be released on april 15th because the American director thinks "middles are good".

I hear there will be micro-transactions that allow you to purchase ingame items with real life money. I hope this doesn't get out of hand to where things such as high quality armor or already-tamed animals are offered. Small things like backpacks or aesthetic items would be good to monetize.

Be careful about pay to win status, jorbtar.

It doesn't, we've been over this. We've been over this extensively both in this thread and in private testing. As has been said before, do not attempt to fix problems that don't exist. =)

Hello Guys,
Just a quick question,

What age is Salem set in ?
I see we have Conquistador Helmets, Wind Mills, Rifles etc etc...

Does that put us during the Aztecs, Spanish Conquistadors etc etc era ?

I think the actual year is left to the player's imagination, but the extreme interval would be somewhere between 1626 (founding of Salem, Massachusetts) and 1775 (outbreak of American Revolutionary War), the Salem witch trials infamously occurring in the 1690's.

Now i understand the Witchcraft... Seems like its going to be a massive part to the game, rather excited now.
